Watch John Wick

Excommunicado in New York, with horses, dogs and a knife-throwing library.

The Continental's rules, a marker called in and a hall of mirrors in Rome.

The stairs at Sacre-Coeur and a duel at dawn; three hours and worth it.

Watch the classic 1986 film Blue Velvet directed by David Lynch

Robert Pattinson's detective Batman in a rain-soaked Gotham hunting the Riddler.

Alain Delon as a hitman in a trench coat and fedora; Melville's cool influenced every hitman film since.

Five criminals in a line-up and Keyser Soze; the ending everybody replayed.

Three cops, a diner massacre and Kim Basinger as a Veronica Lake lookalike; 1950s noir done right.
