Who is behind Bucketly?

Bucketly is a solo after-hours project built by Darek Woźniak. It's a passion project developed during nights and weekends 🧑🏻‍💻 For more details, check out the 'Who we are' section.

Is Bucketly free to use?

Yes, Bucketly is completely free to use. You can create an account, add items, and track your progress at no cost. Future premium features will be optional, but the core experience will always be free.

How do I get started?

Just sign up and start creating your bucket list!

Do I need an account to use Bucketly?

While you can browse public bucket list items without an account, you'll need to create an account to create your own bucket list, track your progress, and interact with other users.

Can I keep my bucket list private?

Yes, you can keep your bucket list private by adding private items. Private items are not visible to others.

How is data structured?

Data is structured in a simple and organized way:

– Bucket List Item: A single item, goal. Public by default. User can add it to the wishlist or mark as done. User can propose a new public item. E.g. Visit Rome.

– Category: Each item can belong to max. 1 category: 🌍 Travel, 🏀 Sports, ⚡ Adventure, 🎭 Culture, 🧠 Learn, 🌌 Nature, ❤️ Personal, ✨ Create, 🍜 Foodie.

– Tag: More categorization options. E.g. #city, #language, #music, #running, etc.

– List: Trackable container for items. E.g. Visit all continents (you have completed 3/7).

– Badge (coming soon): A reward for completing actions. E.g. Completed 10 items, Visited 20 countries.

What is the meaning of the logo?

The Bucketly logo features a green > symbol, representing action, progress, and moving forward. This symbolizes the concept of a bucket list—aspirations to achieve goals. The > symbol also reflects the idea of taking action rather than just dreaming.

The green color symbolizes growth, positivity, and completing tasks. It resembles the act of checking goals off your list.

Account Management

How do I create an account?

Click on the "Sign In" button in the top right corner of the homepage. You can sign up using your email address or through a social media account.

How do I reset my password?

If you've forgotten your password, click on the "Sign In" button, then select "Forgot Password." Follow the instructions sent to your email to reset your password.

Bucket List Items

What is a bucket list item?

A bucket list item is something you want to do, experience, or accomplish in your lifetime. It can be a travel destination, a skill to learn, an adventure to experience, or any other goal you want to achieve.

How do I add an item to my bucket list?

You can add items to your bucket list in several ways:

  1. Browse our catalog of popular bucket list items and click "Add".
  2. Search for specific items using the search bar.
  3. Create a custom bucket list item by clicking "Create New Item".

Can I create private bucket list items?

Yes, when creating or editing a bucket list item, you can set its visibility to "Private" so that only you can see it.

How do I mark an item as completed?

To mark an item as completed, go to your bucket list, find the item you've completed, and click the "Done" button.

Social Features

Can I see other users' bucket lists?

You can see public bucket lists and items shared by other users. Private items are only visible to their creators.

How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?

You can report bugs or suggest features by going to the "Feedback" page in the footer menu.

How is my personal information protected?

Are my bucket list items visible to everyone?
