Climb Mount Everest

The third-highest mountain on Earth, sacred enough that climbers stop a few metres below the true summit.

Everest's neighbour at 8,516 m, sharing the Khumbu Icefall and the South Col before splitting away.

A near-perfect four-sided pyramid of 8,485 m, one of the hardest of the fourteen.

The friendliest eight-thousander at 8,188 m, and most climbers’ first.

The White Mountain, 8,167 m, thought to be the highest in the world for thirty years after 1808.

The Mountain of the Spirit, 8,163 m, now the busiest eight-thousander after Everest.

The first eight-thousander ever climbed, in 1950 — and still the deadliest of the fourteen.

Nimsdai Purja climbs all fourteen 8,000ers in six months.
