Visit Basel

Explore the Kunstmuseum Basel, one of Switzerland's most renowned art museums. Its vast collection spans from the 15th century to the present, featuring masterpieces by Holbein the Younger (including 'The Dead Christ in the Tomb'), works by Picasso, Kandinsky, and a significant group of works by Swiss artist Ferdinand Hodler. The museum's main building, a neoclassical landmark from 1936, offers a focused journey through Western art history.

Visit Zürich, Switzerland's largest city and global financial hub. Explore the historic Old Town (Altstadt) with its medieval guild houses and St. Peter's Church (largest clock face in Europe), take a boat trip on Lake Zürich for Alpine views, and visit the Kunsthaus Zürich (art museum with works by Munch and Giacometti). Don't miss trying Zürcher Geschnetzeltes (veal in cream sauce) at a traditional restaurant.
